Until recently, my SKETCHBOOK has been a melange of sketches and scribbles which I sometimes use to help me capture the feel of a particular area, a series of buildings or rooftops, flowers etc.
Over the past couple of years though, I’ve been spending more time sketching, both here in Greece, and when we’re travelling, and I’m really enjoying developing my sketching style. When we’re ‘on the road’, I love to create a travel journal of the trip, which can be hard work if I want to be sociable as well!
I am also incorporating some of these sketches into my collages paintings, using them to help tell the story of collage.
