Some more beach sketching today. I find the flat b Some more beach sketching today. I find the flat blue water and golden sand intimidating, hence the 'other' marks and collage! All done with soft chalk pastel (which smears beautifully), Woody pencils and white acrylic

I must post something or Insta might ditch my feed I must post something or Insta might ditch my feed totally! Am looking at negative space in charcoal as part of Lewis Noble's membership. Not something I can get my head around easily!
This week's In Loco was spent sitting amongst the This week's In Loco was spent sitting amongst the eucalyptus trees at nearby Agios Andreas. It smelt like Australia and bought back lovely memories! Strange sketch but the other one was worse so not posting that.. !

July already. I've been quiet on social media late July already. I've been quiet on social media lately due to my lovely trip to Oz and then coming back to the heat! These hot summer months will be for me to draw and play with inks and paint and sticks and scrapey things in my sketchbooks/scrapbooks and to revisit the large pile of 'almost finished' paintings like these!
