The last of Lake Taupo inspired paintings - my favourite! We've now arrived in the South Island, so it's time to find somewhere to live!

We're now in lovely Taupo where I spent many weeks in a tough Covid lockdown with my wonderful friend Christina. Beautiful Lake Taupo was a short walk away, hence many 'Lake inspired paintings!

Another Hawkes Bay sketch. This was done sitting at the Clive River Estuary when the tide was partially out. Sadly I suspect this lovely area will have changed dramatically since the cyclone.

We've been in Auckland, NZ for a week already and

We've been in Auckland, NZ for a week already and will soon make our way slowly south to start our new life in Nelson. Sadly due to the devastation from Cyclone Gabrielle, we will have to miss visiting my old stomping ground of Hawkes Bay. 3 years ago towards the end of lockdown, I spent some weeks there, and thought it poignant to share some of my sketches and paintings from that time. Sending love to my family and friends and hope to see you soon xxx
